Gift Designation

When you make a gift to the Muny Endowment (a permanently restricted fund), you may direct the earnings of that gift to a specific purpose.  Your gift and the earnings from the investment of your gift will make a difference long into the future.

Unrestricted Gifts
Your gift can be placed in our unrestricted endowment fund. Each year the Muny Board of Directors needs to respond to the most pressing concerns. It might be a new program that needs to be started, or a leaking roof that needs repair, or an extravaganza of a show that demanded more special effects or star power than most. We urge you to consider this option when you designate your gift. This is called an unrestricted endowment designation and it is the most helpful way to keep The Muny top flight and state-of-the-art.

You can also choose one of the following more specific designations:

Production Support
Production support allows us to continue the tradition of top quality performances each summer at The Muny. These funds will offset production costs that could include leading ladies, dynamic directors or high kicking choreographers.

Education and Audience Outreach
The Muny has two education programs: The Muny Kids and The Muny Teens. These programs provide training and performance opportunities for aspiring young performers ages 7-18. The Muny also provides reserved seats to our opening night performances for more than 9,000 guests each summer who receive help from social service agencies throughout the region. This community outreach program is one of the largest of its kind in the nation. Designate your gift to this fund and you will be making sure that The Muny reaches the youngest musical theatre lovers as well as community members who count on The Muny for a social connection that they need so much.

Capital Improvements and Maintenance
As The Muny strides toward its 100 year celebration we must keep our facility in good shape. Sometimes that includes new building projects as well as maintenance of the great things we already have. While facility maintenance doesn’t have the razzle dazzle of a Muny production, the show can’t go on without it. Please consider this designation when you make your gift.
