July 27, 1942
Wildflower was celebrating its opening night on The Muny's stage, with sets designed by Watson Barrett (aka Watson Barratt). Mr. Barrett designed shows at The Muny for 19 seasons, from 1940 through 1958. He also found time to create the stage settings for more than 160 Broadway productions, beginning with Girl O’ Mine 1918, and ending with a revival of The Most Happy Fella in 1959.
